What it means to access embodied knowledge and what value is may offer to personal practice, pedagogy, or research.
What is embodied knowledge, and how do we access it? How can it teach us about ourselves and our environment beyond what we think we know? This seminar will review the concepts of embodied epistemology from a somatic psychology perspective, attempting to clarify how and what we can gather from embodied inquiry, and how that knowledge can be utilized for healing and growth. We will discuss the science of embodied discovery and decipher the aesthetics of embodied language to learn what it means to not only listen to the body, but through the body. This workshop is useful for all participants.
