The Worlds of Non-Objectified Bodies

Beginning or no understanding of topic, Open to all
Movement not required
Likely neutral
We will see how if one lives the body differently, then different worlds are opened.
We will see how one lives in the body to open different worlds. One world that can open when one connects sensitively to the body freed from objectification allows feelings and senses to take one into depths of our shared world to connect with history, nature, culture, other people, creatures and the things of the world. A transformed sense of self emerges. We can also be thrown into worlds of pain, violation, hunger and crisis through the body, yet its creativity always affords paths back to healing. This presentation will be lecture, poetry, meditative exercises, and discussion.
