Helen is one of the leaders in embodied psychotherapy, based on her dance movement psychotherapy background and training including Creative Dance, Laban Movement Analysis, Person-Centered Counselling, Group Analysis and The Discipline of Authentic Movement (Adler, 2002). Clinical practice has been with children, adolescents and adults, now in private practice and delivers a training in Authentic Movement. Helen is Professor of Psychotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire where she conducts research, supervises clinical practice and PhDs, teaches and examines doctorates nationally/internationally part time. She is founding editor-in-
chief for the international peer reviewed journal ‘Body, Movement and Dance in Psychotherapy’ published by Taylor and Francis.
