Embodied pedagogy for learning science concepts, how movement exercises can promote understanding of physics concepts?
In this session we will explore the potential of Embodied Pedagogy for learning concepts in physics, how using our body can help us learning and understanding? We will experiment with some general exercises that help with concentration and partially experiment with learning one or two physics concepts using embodied pedagogy. We will hear about the research and some of its findings that demonstrated the role of students’ emotional, social, and philosophical involvement in their embodied learning process. In addition, we will watch and explain a dance videoclip about the research connecting art, dance and science.
