Koji Matsunobu is a musician, educator, and university academic, formally teaching at the University of Queensland in Australia, Kumamoto University in Japan, currently at the Education University of Hong Kong.

Koji Matsunobu is a musician, educator, and university academic, formally teaching at the University of Queensland in Australia, Kumamoto University in Japan, currently at the Education University of Hong Kong. With two PhD degrees, he has been active writing and presenting on spirituality, world music, embodied creativity and learning. His articles can be found in Ageing and Society; Harvard Educational Review; Journal of Aesthetic Education; Journal of Research in Music Education; and many handbooks and edited books. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Music Education. His invention of a mouthpiece for vertical flutes received a Bronze award at 2019 iENA International Trade Fair.
