The traditional relationship of human beings and land is one of deep reciprocity and continuity, in which it is the human responsibility to ritually and ceremonially keep land 'enchanted.' In this way, land and body become a seamless continuum. In this vibrant presentation, we look at traditional notions of enchanted land, the mythic link between land and body, and at living examples from the animist goddess traditions of India that reveal how this relationship between land and body is renewed and re-sanctified, ritual by ritual, breath by breath.
