Let’s Not “TALK” About Autonomic Nervous System - (Let’s Embody it!)

I would like to take you through an exploration through your autonomic nervous system (ANS).
I would like to take you through an exploration through your autonomic nervous system (ANS). ANS affects your states, perception, movements, digestion, focus, action, rest and relationships and more… It is not just about famous “fight, flight & freeze”. There’s so much more. Knowing it through embodiment can give you more rounded ways of being & moving, experiencing life and even deeper insight into “fight, flight & freeze” aspects of this system. Some of you are familiar with “vagus nerve” - as it has been “talked” about much in recent years, which is a great thing because it is an important aspect of our health. As an early trauma therapist, I have learnt much about it through everyone’s “talking” about it. In my session, however, informed from the approach of Body-Mind Centering®, we will be actually getting to know our own autonomic nervous system and what they really feel like when embodied. ANS as a whole, including both branches (para-sympathetic & sympathetic nervous system). It will include exploring through embryology and developmental movement. That means you will understand its origin and how it developed and it will inform you about its true nature. By embodying, you will know your ANS differently to learning from books and talks. It can offer you a new and inspiring way for you to feel, move, live, relate and another way into regulating your nervous system by giving you more choices than you thought you had. Or simply bring more joy and balance when doing yoga, dancing, sporting or in your daily life. This workshop is suitable and beneficial for yoga practitioners, yoga teachers, psychotherapists, trauma therapists, body-workers, and anybody who is interested. Come with open mind and curiosity.
