She specialises in distilling her experience, knowledge and skills into effective real life applications, to help people develop awareness, choice and manage change.
Fiona's previous work & training as an actor, dancer and choreographer, both in professional theatre and in community arts and health projects, help her bring a creative, fun, yet grounded approach to everything she does.
Fiona's current practice includes older women who are looking to reconnect with themselves again, and adults with a wide range of physical and mental challenges, including adults with Arthritis, Osteoporosis, replacement joints, Alzheimers, learning difficulties etc. Through her work in these and other settings, she has explored what it is that makes people - of any age and ability - move, have fun, play, and find health through accessible movement .
She is an Embodied Facilitator, an Associate Teacher of Embodied Yoga Postures EYP. Also a Nia Black Belt Teacher, an Embodied Aerial Yoga Teacher, Gentle Somatic Yoga Teacher Level 3, Essential Somatics Teacher Level 1, plus numerous other fitness teaching qualifications, a Cert Ed in Adult Education and a Post Grad in Health Promotion.
I'm an older body (62) and I work with older bodies......many of them are not embodied and have many years of being that way. I explore how to bring back Fun, Play & Pleasure to the older, new to embodiment body.
