Embodying Community: Climate change, consciousness and cultural trauma

Beginning or no understanding of topic, Open to all
Movement not required
Likely neutral
"Why the solutions to climate change lie mostly within ourselves. This session explores climate change as a call to deepen our humanity. The solutions are only partly in politics, technology and economics. Mainly, it’s about our deepening our humanity. About understanding the embodied connections between people and our place on earth that we’ve lost. Seeing how this made us vulnerable to destruction and consumerism. And recovering what it takes to rebuild both community and the spiritual life. Alastair will illustrate with slides of his work from Scotland to New Guinea. Half the time will be a presentation, the remainder Q & A. For a sense of what is coming, watch the short video: https://bit.ly/riders-storm-video"
