Cormac Cullinan

Cormac Cullinan is the director of the Wild Law Institute (WildLI) and of South Africas oldest specialist environmental law firm, Cullinan & Associates Inc. He has worked in more than 20 countries drafting environmental treaties, legislation and policies. His groundbreaking book Wild Law A Manifesto for Earth Justice (2002) pioneered Earth Jurisprudence and has played a significant role in informing and inspiring a growing international movement. The Chinese edition was selected as one of the Top 10 Good Books in China (2017). Cormac led the drafting of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth, is a founder and Executive Committee member of the Global Alliance for Rights of Nature, and a judge of the International Tribunal on the Rights of Nature. He has addressed conferences on Earth Jurisprudence throughout the world (including the UN General Assembly in 2011).
