The Compassionate Body

Intermediate understanding
Some standing/ movement

Would you like to be kinder and more compassionate, to yourself and others? The meaning of the word compassion is “to suffer together.” It is the feeling that arises when you are confronted with someone else's suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering. Compassion is a foundational principle of most spiritual and ethical practices. How do we truly embody it? How can we create the conditions within ourselves to be more compassionate and to be able to respond skilfully to suffering in the world? Karin will facilitate an exploration of what it means to embody compassion. The session includes guided meditation, Embodied Yoga Principles postures and inquiry and reflection time to encourage insights to arise.
