The Embodiment of Individual and Community Change
The Community Resiliency Model(CRM) ® is a research-informed intervention, based upon current neuroscience. The model can be used across the life span with children, teens and adults and has been brought to diverse cultures around the world. The Community Resiliency Model is “trauma-informed” and “resiliency-focused." We cultivate natural leaders of communities to be Community Resiliency Model teachers. The presentations will share the basic three skills of the wellness model. Individuals will be invited to use the portal of sensation to enhance their well-being by engaging in learning the basic three skills. The model helps individuals understand the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system and how resiliency can be restored using this skills-based embodied approach. The model can also be used for self-care as a strategy for primary prevention. Natural leaders of communities, mental health providers and medical practitioners can share the wellness skills with individuals and communities.
