Embodying social change: individually and collectively

Beginning or no understanding of topic, Open to all
Movement not required
Potentially triggering
Notice tensions in our body that are socially constructed and begin to take care of them
As activists, how do we embody social change? Do we keep our activism and our individual healing separate? Are we able to reflect/act into the principles of social justice collectively within our social justice organizations? Starting with the embodiment of social change in our daily lives this presentation will focus on the challenges and some solutions. Then we will explore together how we can bring this individual healing to the collective body of social justice organizations by understanding what prevents and enables this. We will practice breathing together to notice where we embody our tensions that are socially constructed and begin to take care of them.
