Being fully present in our reality makes us more adaptable.
In survival situations, some people die for no apparent reason while others survive against the odds. The survivors can teach us a lot about everyday life. People who survive ground themselves in their reality while remaining active in influencing or changing it. They embody themselves deeply as part of the situation, not seperate from it. Acceptance and embodiment keep us out of victim status, and reduce our instinct to fight, flee or freeze. In this state we can move elegantly with the situation, making the most of the opportunities it presents without needlessly expending physical, emotional or spiritual energy. Join Survival Instructor Mike House, for an exploration of the survivor personality. We'll look at some tactical tools for everyday use.
