Guides, Genies and Muses - Working With Big Body Intelligence To Take The Pressure Off Self And Access Flow States

Beginning or no understanding of topic, Open to all

There is a bias in personal development circles on SELF development and ‘self’ growth, but we know from polyvagal theory that part of wellness is relational; with out a healthy interconnectedness with community and collective, something in the self is in disharmony. In this workshop we take it a step further and say part of a relationship with community involves a living relationship with all organic life; with our larger community of living - something we could call big body intelligence… and that that resource lives inside us and that with support, we can access it at will. We have all had the experience of being in a flow state; where any kind of self consciousness is a distraction for what is simply coming through us. What if the principles of guides, genies and muses, are not woowoo fiction, but practical tools that help us access the realm of big body intelligence with out disappearing up our own arseholes with either insecurity or ego mania? In this workshop we will play with some ancient imaginative strategies for getting self out of the way. What can artistic practice can teach us about getting out of the way of ourselves so we get on with the work we are made to create?
