From song lyrics to TED talks, a parents praise to a coach’s critique, we know that language - words - have the power to move us.
They can bring us to the highest highs just as easily as the can drop us to the lowest lows. Words matter - a lot - and they do so because they are a part of us, they are within us, they are born from us. And just as words move us emotionally, they are equally able to move us physically - every movement professional knows this. But how often do we truly pay attention to the relationship between our words and the client’s movement? How often do we attempt to tinker with our language to improve our client's emotional and physical experience? Even if we wanted to tinker with our language, do we know how to? Are there strategies that can upgrade what we say, helping us consistently find words that work? This presentation seeks to answer these questions and more.
