This session will dive into the insidious ways (sometimes called micro-traumas) in which we can become disembodied and dissociated from a very young age and how this can lead to functional freeze. Irene will use a blend of vignettes to tell this story, mix in teaching points that touch into the polyvagal theory, plus she'll sprinkle in somatic cues throughout the session so one stays connected to their present moment. She'll speak to the path forward so one can heal from these deeply embedded patterns. If time permits, she'd love to answer your questions.
