Yoga is a dialogue that has been carried on in India for thousands of years. These days we think of Yoga as a practice, as something that we do, a class we go to. But in the Hindu tradition, Yoga is not prescriptive, it is inquisitive. This class will investigate using the body, breath, awareness, and sense of curiosity to come in contact with a higher sense of consciousness, or perhaps a more expanded consciousness, that the Yoga texts speak of as the purpose of practice. Learning outcomes 1. The mind and body are a continuum 2. Yoga uses the mind, breath, and body to be fully embodied in that continnum 3. The continuum of mind and body is not just of our own bodies, but the bodies of others as well
