Using PLAY in your own daily life (or to help others) as a sustainable method for self care, rehab, and prehab.
Using PLAY in your own daily life (or to help others) as a sustainable method for self care, rehab, and prehab. One big reason why typical exercise or rehabilitation programs can fail for many people is because of boredom or inability to activate specific muscles on command. This means that the program is not sustainable, even if it is effective short term. When the “fun factor” is introduced into a program, it becomes something the person is now looking forward to, as the reward centers of the brain are now activated. PLAY is an incredibly effective way to activate the reward center with fun, and proven to work faster than traditional clinical or exercise methods. To use PLAY therapeutically, we can choose specific games to play, based on what the area of rehabilitations are. And because PLAY is fun, we can also use it as a sustainable life-long self-care system.
