Potentially triggering
When we heal and grow in our own relationships with our bodies, we are able to show up with more presence and capacity to our work in the world, to our relationships and communities, and to movements for justice, thus weaving individual healing with the collective care of social justice work. This will be a space for exploring and nurturing positive experiences of embodiment, tuning into the nervous system’s innate capacity for resilience and regulation, exploring tools for healing trauma through yoga and embodiment practices, and grounding into practice, embodiment, and healing our relationship with our bodies as a way to center into yoga as a practice of healing and justice, for ourselves, for our communities, and for the world. Learning outcomes 1. An understanding of the links between body positivity/body liberation, trauma-healing, and social justice 2. Tools for supporting resilience and healing trauma through yoga 3. Practices and frameworks to foster body positivity, trauma-healing, and social justice in yoga
