Matiu has over 20 years experience as a Maori language and performance teacher, he is an engaging facilitator, dynamic international musician, playwrite, storyteller and a leader amongst his own communities. This interactive workshop will cover the traditional Maori practice of haka (traditional power dance) helping us engage with our healthy warrior energy. This allows us to stand strong in our full power and really take up some space on this planet at this time. This is for all genders We’ll not only learn how and why we haka, we’ll learn and do a simple yet very strong haka and fully embody our internal warrior, our “I will not be pushed around ever again” bad ass! We’ll also learn how to use haka as a real tool to help us dear will our emotions, releasing and building energies and supporting our mental health…..and its really sexy We will deal with light and shadow. This workshop is suitable for anyone up for real growth. Participants will leave with ancient yet practical tools to support them in the way they stand, speak, listen, connect and move powerfully through this life.
