Elevated Breathwork: Ethics to Enlightenment

Intermediate understanding

Actualization of the power and creative potential of conscious breathing and breathwork is just beginning to emerge out of its early stages in our current culture. Building on ancient breath wisdom, time-honored practices, and the myriad of innovative applications over the last 40 years, there is now an infusion and integration of science, research, ethics, psycho-dynamic principles, and trauma-informed practice that is ushering the Breathwork field into its next stage - and it is awesome. Yet, what is still largely untapped is true and nuanced knowledge and practice about the potential of embodied awakening, and even enlightenment, through our life’s most powerful nutrient and medicine - breath! This session will explore the following themes, culminating with a multi- dimensional 25-minute breath practice:  The future vision and potential of breathwork in our world, including a self-regulated orientation  The importance of training standards and ethics and how they elevate the Breathwork field, including being aware of the potential shadow  The need for breathworkers to be able to work with trauma and enlightenment and deepen their consciousness training  Five orientations/attentions/intelligences that breathwork can cultivate to awaken a more integrated, wholesome, embodied consciousness - the promise for humanity in the future
