Yoga is relationship. It is the continuous joining together of complimentary opposites that results in
an unfolding of ever deepening layers of concentration, connection and insight. From the subtlest
realms of movement, breath and mind, we bring balance to the intermingling and interpenetration of these patterns that are essential to the fabric of life. Again and again with an open mind, utter
attentiveness and deep compassion we return to the mat and the cushion to practice and as we hone these skills within asana, pranayama and meditation they gradually spill out into other aspects of our experience allowing us to face life’s challenges, relationships and mysteries with integrity, truthfulness, a sense of humor and a kind heart.
In this class we will explore how embodying this foundational approach to contemplative practice serves as a cornerstone for waking up within and embracing the challenges, complexities and joys of personal, cultural and environmental relationships that bring light to healing patterns for today’s
world.
This class will include a lecture with simple breathing, meditation and movement exercises.
Appropriate for students of all levels of practice.
