Steve is an embodiment teacher and coach with a practice background in meditation, martial arts, yoga, breathwork, and dance. His interests lie in connecting the subjective and objective worlds, bringing more science into embodiment and embodiment into science. Steve has degrees in Astrophysics, Mathematics and Education, and was a finalist in Australian state education awards in his first year of teaching. He sat his first silent meditation retreat at twenty and has spent six months on silent retreat, primarily in the Vipassana traditions of U Ba Khin and Mahasi Sayadaw. He's also sat a twelve-day solo dark room retreat. From 2017-2019, Steve travelled across the world intensively practicing in different embodiment fields, including: completing a yoga teaching certification in India; living at the Wudang Daoist Martial Arts Academy in China; studying trauma, Aikido and bodywork with Paul Linden; participating in conscious dance retreats across the USA and Europe; completing intensive comedy improvisation courses in London; studying Thai Massage in Bangkok; and practicing Systema at Matt Hill's Academy. Steve graduated from the Embodied Facilitator Course in 2019. He's spent most of this year slowly building his own work whilst being focused on helping to make The Embodiment Conference a success in his dual roles as Events Manager and Assistant Manager of the Meditation & Breathwork Channel.
