His command of embodiment ranges from anatomic detail to interpersonal communication, uniquely integrating scientific, therapeutic, philosophic, and artistic disciplines. Matthew helps people connect with their bodies to naturally heal physical dysfunction, ease the tensions between mind and body, and to bring meaning to the physicality of life. Matthew has an MFA in Dance, certifications in Laban Movement Analysis, Pilates, and Massage, and is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist. Alongside private practice, he has taught in contexts ranging from university dance departments to physical therapy clinics, conferences, and festivals. Teaching people around the world to engage mindfully with their bodies and each other, Matthew is passionate about the consciousness afforded through movement and awareness.
