Kanada E Gorla develops conscious leadership to connect with what is truly important, supporting individuals & organisations to become forces of nature for nature. Kanada brings an embodied presence to create space-between, with an openness to the emergent in both groups & individuals. Oriented to the radiant wholeness in the field, Kanada skilfully reveals blockages & dynamics that get in the way. Kanada has 25+ years experience in leadership/culture, developing purpose-led leaders and changemakers, facilitating transformative change, building individual & collective resilience, and cultivating connection with self, others & nature. Kanada’s background as a community arts animateur and opera/theatre director informs her work. Her clients range from young people to senior executives, from social enterprises to NGOs & multinationals. Her approach is holistic and pragmatic, intuitive and results-oriented. It is grounded in her understanding of the transformational power of presence; the recognition that we are not only physical and mental beings, but also emotional and spiritual ones; and the insight that all successful change initiatives require responsibility, awareness and choice. Current projects include leading a whole systems transformation with Riverford Organic Farmers (2017-2021), aligning their leadership & culture with their founding ethos to be a force for good for both people and planet, and their recent transition to employee ownership & certification as an ethical B Corporation business. Kanada is an executive coach on Common Purpose’s MAVA Leaders for Nature Academy with senior leaders in the global conservation movement. Influencing social change: founding advisory group member, Apricot Centre Huxham’s Cross Farm; founding advisory group member of micro-college start up, New Futures Academy; facilitated the birth of #OceanOptimism which reached 70+ million people in its first 2 years and has since become the global movement #EarthOptimism; launched Pachamama Alliance’s “Be the Change” in Canada, part of a large-scale global grass-roots social change initiative.
