10 years after the publication of Christopher McDougall's best selling book "Born to Run" - a decade of changes in our conceptions of human health and the power of the foot. Using the title of my recently published "Chicken Soup for the Soul: Running for Good" story, I plan to give a rambling and insightful historical overview of how the book "Born to Run" sparked the imagination of a generation, how my own background growing up in 1970s California surf and hippy culture gave me the basic toolkit that I still use today to inform my health practices, and how my search for the ideal footwear led me to the Copper Canyons in 2006
