Dr Robin Youngson is a trauma therapist and Certified Havening Practitioner and Havening Trainer. He is a recently retired Anaesthetic Specialist now flourishing in a new career helping people rapidly heal from trauma using the latest discoveries in neuroscience. His new book, ‘TIME TO HEAL – Better me, better world through the astonishing new science of self-healing’ is just published.
As an international campaigner, speaker and author, Robin has been a leading voice calling for humane and compassionate healthcare. Together with his wife Meredith, Robin was the founder of Hearts in Healthcare, an international social movement spanning fifteen countries. Robin’s previous book, ‘TIME TO CARE – How to love your patients and your job’ is translated into Dutch, German and Hungarian.
In parallel with his clinical career, Robin has also been an outstanding health leader, and pioneer in patient safety and quality improvement. He has been an advisor to the New Zealand Government and the World Health Organisation.
In 2016, the New Zealand Medical Association gave Robin their highest prize, the Chair’s Award, for outstanding contribution to the health of New Zealand.
