Rhonda Brandrick & Michéal Connors
www.naturalacademy.orgMichéal and Rhonda are eco-psychologists, ecotherapists and outdoor teachers. They are qualified in counselling, supervision, outdoor leading and experienced trainers and teachers. They have 12 years experience of teaching ecopsychology and founded the not for profit Natural Academy. This is one of the main training and education centres for this developing field of study in Europe. They both trained with Animas Valley Institute and Bill Plotkin (Wild Mind) and in various body work and psychotherapy models. They see our body as a wondrous and mysterious evolving part of the Earth, woven deeply into its story and life systems. For them, the human impact within the climate and biodiversity crisis is one symptom of disconnect from our natural belonging and connectedness to nature and earth. They hold that in order for us and as much of nature as possible, to recover, heal and flourish again, it is imperative that we find modern, pan cultural ways to remember our interconnected and intricate part within the whole Earth Community.
