Luisa Kolker
Shamanic-Psychotherapist. Embodied, ethical mysticism for emotional trauma resolution.
https://luisakolker.com/Luisa Elena Kolker MA LPCC specializes in the intersection of embodied mysticism, family systems psychology, and Jungian archetypal models in healing relational trauma. She comes from a family lineage of healers. Her father was a physician and psychiatrist. Her maternal grandmother was Concepción Palacios, the first female physician in Central America; her great-grandmother was the curandera in her village in Nicaragua. Luisa inherited the gift of second-sight and at 14 years old, she experienced a rearrangement of her rational and perceptual processes. This period of inner deconstruction resulted in a disintegration and a subsequent reorganization of ego structures, allowing her natural access to non-ordinary states of consciousness.
In her early adulthood, feeling alienated from American culture and values, Luisa left the U.S. to find the ex-patriated novelist Paul Bowles in Tangier, Morocco. Luisa was 27 years old and Bowles was 75 years old at the time. Luisa met and spent time with Bowles; it was a pivotal experience for her. From Morocco she went on to Ibiza, Spain where she met master-healer Ioanna Salajan. Ioanna recognized Luisa as the student for whom she had been waiting to transmit the teachings of her lineage. Luisa engaged in a one-on-one apprenticeship with her for five years. Luisa returned to the United States in the early 1990s.
Luisa has a B.A. in humanities from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Southwestern College. She has been trained by Pia Mellody, author of Facing Codependence and Facing Love Addiction, in family-of-origin emotional trauma resolution therapy. She works with individuals and groups in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA and in Ibiza, Spain. Luisa is the author of a book of poetry The Tearing Apart (Renegade Oracle Press, 2020).
