teachers.
He has been a myofascial manual therapist, personal trainer, shiatsu and craniosacral practitioner, anatomy and fascial
anatomy lecturer and also a yoga teacher and teacher trainer.
He lectures and teaches in Movement and Fascial Anatomy for many schools of massage, physiotherapy, osteopathy, Yoga &
Pilates teacher trainings. After starting Natural Bodies (movement integration training) in 1991, Gary taught with Tom Myers on
the first UK based Anatomy Trains courses from 1997-2003.
He ran the Science of Movement course at Middlesex University, studied dissective anatomy at the Institute of Anatomy in
Vienna and participated in hands on dissections with Gil Hedley, he runs dissective studies for student teachers of his anatomy
and movement courses.
Since completing his yoga TT in 1991 Gary and working with Peter Blackaby and John Stirk and studied briefly with Vanda
Scaravelli, he has adapted his own Fascial based techniques in training and movement principles for the past 25 years.
More recently, Gary has been lead dissector and designer with the the Fascial Net Plastination Project in Germany with
Gunther von hagens team, creating the world’s first plastinated fascial human.
Due for release in 2021, Gary’s book, ‘The Anatomy Slings, variations in Myofascial Continuities’ focuses on his passion for
movement and performance. He has also contributed to Linus Johansson’s book, “Movement Integration.
